We empower movements with the tools they need to win.

People-powered movements need stronger tools to confront escalating threats like the economic crisis, climate change, foreign wars, and political instability. Our future is unwritten. SSAC equips you with the tools to build the community cohesion needed to meet these challenges and to train the next generation of leaders to move from defense to victory.

We don’t know what the future holds—but we know we will face it together.

The Cascadia Bioregion

Our philosophy is rooted in the Cascadia bioregion, defined by its watersheds, forests, and climate rather than political borders. We see the region as a connected living system, where ecosystems and communities are deeply interdependent. That perspective shapes how we organize: focusing on solutions grounded in place, guided by local knowledge, and responsive to the realities of the land and the people who depend on it.

Why Local Organizing Matters

Climate disruption, economic instability, and infrastructure risks aren’t restricted to state lines. Organizing locally allows communities to respond faster, build resilience, and create systems that actually meet their needs. Strong regional networks make it possible to share resources, coordinate action, and ensure that power stays with the people most affected.

Who We Are

We’re a collective of organizers and leaders from labor, veterans, farming, and immigrant communities. We came together to support organizing efforts at critical moments to develop leaders and strengthen movements across the Cascadia bioregion. We train, mobilize, and organize alongside people taking democracy into their own hands.
